Hey there, I’m Emily.
Orange County girl living in Portland, Oregon.
Ambivert, I/ESFJ, and mama to two amazing kids.
Lover of the beach, tea, travel, and new experiences.
Enjoys wearing skirts with pockets and LEMS shoes.
On a mission to create unforgettable, high quality live experiences.

With over 12 years experience in planning events from 10-1,000 people, my passion is to help foster deeper connections and community through live events.

If there is one thing I know after planning and attending events over the years, it’s that not all events are the same.  Most events that I’ve attended have a strong focus on content, and I’ve attended many events that are focused on networking (“make sure to bring lots of business cards!”).

However, the most powerful events that I’ve attended focus on community.

Technology has made it so easy to access content from the comfort of our homes, but it doesn’t replace the power of face-to-face interactions. People are looking to go beyond surface interactions and truly connect and get to know the other people at the events.

My passion for creating space for connection and community led me to start a farmers market in my neighborhood, which I have continued to manage for the last seven years. More recently, I created Branch Out — curated events that bring together women entrepreneurs for community, growth, and unique experiences.

Why I’m passionate about bringing together community, adventure and impact:

Community

An 80-year old Harvard study has proved that embracing community helps us live longer and happier. “Close relationships, more than money or fame, are what keep people happy throughout their lives”, the study reveals.  True connection allows us to be seen and heard, and it enables us to lift others up while they in turn support us in reaching our dreams. In-person events speeds up connection and allows you to go deeper in your relationships.

Adventure

Trying new experiences slows down time and helps us grow as a person. Experiencing adventures often requires overcoming fears, looking at things in a new perspective, and pushing our limits. As a bonus, trying new experiences makes us more interesting in conversation too!

Impact

As a business owner, we have the opportunity to make a huge impact in the world. The more we businesses grows, the more resources we have to give back. Whether it’s financially or through time and energy, giving generously allows us to impact the world in a meaningful way.
